5. Heart:

A lot of women unfortunately get a heart with their boyfriend or husband’s name in the middle. It is a good idea to stay away from tattooing any names on your body, unless they have passed away. When women get their boyfriends name tattooed on their body, they will either have to find another boyfriend with the same name or get it covered up if they happen to break up.
6. The sun:

This is to symbolize the giver or light and life. These are usually tattooed on the upper back directly underneath the neck region. They can be black and white or colored in with reds, yellows and oranges.
7. Swallow:

Many women have this cute bird tattooed on their shoulders, hips or even feet. This usually symbolizes good luck. Most women get them tattooed to keep their luck on the positive side and because they are cute animals.
8. Zodiac sign:

Having your zodiac sign tattooed somewhere on your body has become an extremely popular thing in the past year. There are two forms of each zodiac sign and many colors involved. They can be more personal and small for the woman or large and artistic for everyone else to enjoy.
9. Lotus:

This is another flower that has been tattooed on many women as well. This flower as a symbol is one of the most powerful flowers out there. They can stand for spiritual purity because of the fact that they can grow in the dirtiest waters.
10. Four leaf clover:

For the Irish women out there, many of them have these little green clovers tattooed somewhere. The most common area to get these tattooed is the ankle, shoulder or even the hip. They can be by themselves or with some writing.
